What is TRUVET?

What’s TRUVET ?
TRUVET is a dedicated system designed to collect, assess, and share, in near real time, information on substandard and falsified veterinary products (SFVPs) circulating across borders.

TRUVET supports Members’ decision-making by strengthening post‑market surveillance of veterinary product quality. It does so by providing official, validated data, as well as tools and guidance to help identify SFVPs, enhance reporting, and facilitate effective regulatory follow‑up.

Trust

No judgement

TRUVET focuses on learning and prevention and coordinated response, not on naming or blaming.

No shame

Reporting SFVPs is a responsible action that strengthens collective safety. It is also a demonstration of robust capabilities of detection and effective regulatory systems, not a reflection of failure.

Mission
Our main mission is to safeguard animal health, livestock industries, and public trust by proactively detecting, investigating, and eliminating SFVPs through assessment of incidents reported by WOAH Members and partners, intelligence-led enforcement, and stakeholder collaboration.
We advocate for smart and cost-effective surveillance, stronger safeguards, and zero tolerance for substandard and falsified veterinary products
